PT. Century Abadi Perkasa

PT Century Abadi Perkasa was established in Medan on 9 September 2009. In 2013, the Company began identifying and evaluating potential sites for the development of a hydropower project.

After assessing several potential locations, the Company decided to focus on the area surrounding Kutacane, Aceh Province. The Company subsequently acquired several plots of land required for the development of a mini hydro power plant.

In 2015, a group of investors from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Jakarta, Indonesia joined the Company as shareholders and part of the management team, strengthening the Company’s capital structure and supporting the development of the project.

In early 2016, the Company successfully secured a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PT PLN (Persero) for the development of a mini hydro power plant project named PLTM Lawe Sikap. Construction of the project commenced in mid-2017, supported by financing from Bank Muamalat, as well as loans from other parties and related parties.

Construction of PLTM Lawe Sikap was completed in mid-2020, during the global COVID-19 pandemic, which presented various operational and logistical challenges during the final stage of the project development.

Following the completion of construction, the Company proceeded with the certification process to obtain the Sertifikat Laik Operasi (SLO), the mandatory operational certification required for power plant operations in Indonesia. The SLO certificates were successfully granted on 5 April 2021 and 16 April 2021.

Subsequently, the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of PLTM Lawe Sikap was formally agreed with PT PLN (Persero) and became effective on 20 April 2021, marking the official commencement of commercial electricity supply to the national grid.

PT. Century Abadi Perkasa

PT Century Abadi Perkasa is the developer and operator of PLTM Lawe Sikap, a mini hydro power plant located in Kutacane, Aceh Province, Indonesia.

PLTM Lawe Sikap has a contracted capacity of 7 MW with a minimum production capacity factor of 60%. The power plant achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 20 April 2021 and has since been supplying reliable electricity to the national grid.

The plant generates 20 kV, three-phase, 50 Hz electricity, which is transmitted through PT PLN (Persero)’s substation in Kutacane, contributing to the stability and reliability of electricity supply for communities in Kutacane and surrounding areas in Aceh and North Sumatra.

As part of its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s renewable energy development, PT Century Abadi Perkasa initiated the development of this mini hydro power project to meet the growing demand for sustainable and reliable electricity in the region.

In early 2016, the Company secured the opportunity to develop the PLTM Lawe Sikap project under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PT PLN (Persero) for the delivery of electricity to the national grid through a 20 kV interconnection system.

Through the development and operation of PLTM Lawe Sikap, PT Century Abadi Perkasa contributes to the expansion of renewable energy generation while supporting regional economic development and improving electricity reliability in Aceh.
